Bye Fabian!

Today we had a cook-out at mamaw's house. This cook-out had a specific purpose, it was not just your average, every day, run-of-the-mill cook out. No, this cook out was to wish the German exchange student that has been living with mom and dad good-bye.

Fabian has been with our family only since November, but he meshed almost immediately. He understood my dad and his constant teasing. He took it all in stride and began to fight back. He tolerated Will, and the two became good friends. He has carved out a special place in all of our hearts and we will all miss him. Fabian leaves on Wednesday to go home to his family, but he plans to come back in a few years and actually join the US army. He loves America and really wants this to be his permanent home.

So tomorrow I will go to the store and purchase what I need to make a special meal that he swears that I can't make. I so want to prove him wrong.

So with a sad heart we tell Fabian bye...and we hope to see you again very soon!
